Camping

We survived our first family campout. Actually, I was amazed how enjoyable it is to take your family into nature and get away from all electronics. We actually TALKED over the camp fire. The biggest hit for the kids was swimming in the lake, sleeping in the tent, bringing the dog with us and of course the smores. Ella was so excited to go she practically packed the whole family. She loved helping her dad gather the firewood.

Ella "Mom, next time we go camping, we will get better at sleeping!" She is SOO my daughter since I love to get my sleep too!

Dylan: "We have to go back to the rock store (lake) with daddy!"

Eric and I had a good laugh that everyone else got some sleep in our tent but us. Ella was awake for awhile and had to go potty. She passed out, but managed to wake Dylan up for awhile. Once he settled back to a cozy sleep, the dog decided to take her turn barking and playing in the tent. So, Ella is right, we need to get better at sleeping while camping!
