Grandma Visits

We had a nice visit with my mom this week. She came to help me with some house projects and to play with the grandkids.

First, we made this cozy and decorative thing to lay on while watching TV. We also made some matching pillows for the couch. I love how it turned out. Sewing may be worth learning after all! I should have learned some sewing from my mom years ago!

Grandma was smart and brought squirt guns for the kids. We had fun with them at the park.

My mom also let me use a dress for Ella that all of her girls have worn. I have pictures of Patrice and I in these dresses. Ella wore it to church today and everyone was asking where she got it. It's so adorable and brought back good memories for me. I'm so glad my mom kept it.

I'm so glad my mom came up. I loved having her here and her ideas for my house. It was so enjoyable to hang out, I'm grateful to live closer to her. On the last day, we got to have girl time and go to the Dallas museum. Thanks for the great memories mom!

Congrats Baby Ryan!

We had a wonderful time with the blessing of Baby Ryan, son of Greg and Natalie Kesler. They were able to adopt him after years of waiting. He's beautiful and pure delight to be around. His blessing was beautiful, we got lucky to have Grandpa and Nana stay with us. He was blessed on May 4, 2008, in the home ward of his father Greg. My favorite highlights were: seeing the cousins play together, getting to hold Ryan, watching Ella follow Tiff's dog everywhere and make him her new best friend, seeing Dylan drool over Tiff's pool the whole time and the wonderful testimonies that were shared. I enjoyed hearing Greg's testimony, you could feel that it was the tender outpouring of a grateful father. And I really loved hearing my own dad's testimony about how the happiest times in his life have been within the church. It was a moving meeting and Ryan is truly blessing us ALL! I didn't have my camera charged the whole weekend (sometimes this mom can't have it together!), so I stole a few of my favorites from Nana and Nat!

Ella's Gymnastics Recital

Ella completed her first full year of Gymnastics with a fun recital. She was hilarious, obviously enjoying time with her friends in line more than the actual gymnastics. She put on a good show, entertaining everyone as always. Ella is fun, animated and loves to BE the show!
