Spring Break '08!

We headed to San Antonio with Grandma Liz for Spring Break to see Grandma Pascoe. It was so neat for Eric and I to have both of our moms together. We enjoyed the visits. We started out by visiting the Alamo and the famous Riverwalk. We had great luck and got a table right on the river for dinner with Grandma Liz. We always have good travel charm with her.

The kids got to go to Sea World for the first time. We enjoyed the Shamu show and the rides. It was a big hit. The favorite thing for Dylan was the rides, especially when the water ones would splash him. Dylan was wanting to try every roller coaster and his dad was thrilled!

Ella's favorite thing was probably the penguins. After we saw the penguins, she really wanted a stuffed penguin. I told her to go ask her dad, so she raced in between the tall legs of all the crowds and was getting very worried as she just couldn't catch up with her dad. After a bit of a struggle, she finally found him and we got her a cute penguin named "Beaky."

Ella also loved going to the sea lion show with her Grandma and playing with BOTH grandmas in the giant sandbox. She loves her grandmas!

After Sea World, we celebrated Grandma's birthday with a cake, flowers and a sweater from the kids since she knitted them sweaters. Grandma Pascoe also took the kids to a park during their visit where they got to walk through tunnels, play in sand, rock climb and collect rocks. A picture perfect childhood day! Thanks to BOTH grandmas for a wonderful memory

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! Ours was filled with good surprises. Ella ran into our room and kept saying, "mom, do you hear something?" And then she'd tell me she heard the Easter bunny knocking. She was so excited. The kids found Easter eggs hidden all over the backyard. And they just LOVE to sit and smile in their Easter clothes!

Can They Kiss and Make Up?

Here's some good news! McCain is getting pressure to look seriously at Romney for the VP spot. Romney has the economic experience that McCain lacks... and the good looks he lacks too! This would be a wise choice for McCain. I know they were bitter rivals on the campaign trail, but can they kiss and make up for the sake of the GOP ticket? Let's hope! Here's the full story: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/12/mccain-romney-interested-in-vp-spot/

Snow for Grandpa, Nana Visit

We had a wonderful visit from Grandpa and Nana who SHOULD have brought more sunshine from sunny St. George, but instead came to a surprise snow storm. We still had a great time.

It gave us time to cozy up to some books with the kids.

Highlights of their visit: trying a new Thai food restaurant, visiting Dylan's school for lunch and seeing all his girlfriends who help him out, catching up with the Sachse family and best of all hearing Grandpa/Nana read bedtime stories to the kids. Awwwww!
